How To Relieve Menstrual Cramps
Women must be familiar with PMS(Premenstrual Syndrome). Wiki says that PMS is a collection of physical and emotional symptoms related to a women's menstrual cycle. Let's say simply (and harshly), it is women's jerk-time :D
Like it is not hard enough with the PMS, there is another problem to deal, menstrual cramps. Most women i know, experience some degree of menstrual cramps. The pain can be varies, from mild to severe. The cramps may felt in abdomen, in back, or even down the legs.
Here are some methods and foods to relieve the cramps:
1. Reduce caffeine, soda, fat, processed sugars, salt and alcohol. Wait, alcohol? Umm, indeed i don't consume it but so as readers know.
2. Vitamins that would help are vitamin B and E. *silakan nyemil beras dan taoge*
3. Increase potassium, magnesium and calcium. Do you think of eating metal bars or nails and so on? No you don't have to do that debus thing.
Easy choice for potassium: banana and orange *yaaayy, love these fruits*
For magnesium: lentils and nuts
For calcium: milk, cheese and yogurt.
4. Keep the body hydrating, could be by drinking plenty of water or consuming plenty of fresh fruits and veggies.
5. Do some mild exercises (walking, mild stretching, etc) will increase blood flow so it will help the cramps to go away.
6. Apply heat to your muscles when cramps occur. Try to put a hot water bottle on your abdomen or lower back.
7. Curling up or nestle on bed or couch like a baby would help *for me, mostly*
8. Consume herbs like the traditional jamu-kunyit-asem or else pain-killers drug.
